My bartending experience includes working as a bartender down in Corolla, Outer Banks, NC at an upscale restaurant, named Turf's Up, which was right on one of the golf courses in Corolla, overlooking the Currituck Sound. Unfortunately, I now hear that the restaurant is under new ownership and has changed quite a bit from its original splendor. Since then, I have bartended for friends and family off and on throughout the years and recently was hired by several groups as their bartender for parties and events. I have been hired back by these individuals already several times now. I am also a volunteer firefighter / paramedic. You'd be surprised how much conversation that can drum up (and sometimes can come in handy if need be).

My better half, Amy, also helps me a great deal as my Bar-Back (helps keep things running smoothly behind the bar) and is currently a bartender-in-training. She's helped me out a few times with large weddings and events, and the girl is simply amazing! She also offers her services as hired help, helping with all things including serving food, coat check, greeting, cleaning, etc.

My favorite drink if all times is actually one that I am the creator of, and have proudly been spreading it throughout every bar that I encounter; "the Clif-Hanger" which is:

          • Fill a highball glass with ice.

          • Fill 1/3 with Malibu Coconut Rum & 1/3 with Pineapple Juice.

          • Shake in mixer w/ ice & strain into glass.

          • Fill with Coca-Cola & garnish with a Lime!!

          • ENJOY!!!

I created this drink while working in the Outer Banks. It became so popular that it actually became the restaurant's 'signature drink'!!  I'm fairly proud of that one!
